Elvis Costello lista os 500 maiores álbuns da história da música

Elvis Costello iniciou sua carreira tocando em pubs pela Inglaterra no começo dos anos 70. Com a banda de apoio The Attractions, em meio ao turbilhão do punk, ele lançou seu álbum de estreia, "My Aim is True" (1977).

Em seus primeiros trabalhos, ele fez um som que mesclava o punk e o new wave com power pop, mas ao longo da década de 80 se destacou também com baladas e músicas mais românticas. Na ativa até hoje, já lançou mais de 25 álbuns, o mais recente deles "The Boy Named If" (2022).

Em 2019 ele foi condecorado Oficial da Ordem do Império Britânico por seus serviços prestados à música, recebendo de Elizabeth II a medalha OBE. Entre os diversos prêmios já recebidos por ele, estão o Grammy em 1999 e 2020.
